AI Photoshoot 🤳🏻

What AI Photoshoot does

AI Photoshoot creates product photography from:

  • Your product image
  • A chosen aspect ratio
  • A generation mode
  • A text prompt describing the world around the product

It is not just “add a background.” It can create a full visual direction around the item: lighting, mood, setting, composition, styling, and camera feel. Think premium ecommerce hero shot, summer campaign visual, skincare-on-a-marble-counter moment, or a clean ad image for paid social. ✨

How it works

  1. Upload your product

Upload a JPG, PNG, WEBP, or HEIC file up to 10 MB. You can also choose an existing product image from Studio assets.

  1. Place the product on the canvas

Put the item where you want it to sit before generating. You can remove its existing background first if needed.

  1. Choose an aspect ratio

Studio currently offers:

  • 16:9 — wide banners and landscape ads
  • 4:3 / 3:2 — classic product and editorial layouts
  • 1:1 — square listings and feed posts
  • 2:3 / 3:4 — portrait product content
  • 9:16 — Stories, Reels, and vertical ads 📱
  1. Pick a generation mode

This tells Claid how much control you want over the composition.

  1. Write the prompt

Describe the scene around the product: place, background, lighting, mood, styling, and shot type.

  1. Choose how many variations to generate

Generate between one and four options, then save the strongest result to your Creations library.

Generation modes explained

Precise

Use Precise when the product’s placement matters.
Claid keeps the product where you positioned it on the canvas, then builds the scene around it. This is the go-to setting for clean ecommerce layouts, visual consistency, and product shots where you already know the composition.
Best for: PDP hero images, catalogue assets, clean ads, and brand templates.

Creative

Use Creative when you want AI to make the composition call.
Claid chooses the product’s position and scale based on the prompt. This gives the model more freedom to create a visually stronger scene.
Best for: Campaign concepts, lifestyle visuals, social content, and exploring different creative directions fast.

Inspiration

Use Inspiration when you have a reference image with the vibe you want.
Upload a reference image and use it to guide the new result’s overall direction—think colour palette, lighting, scene energy, or composition style.
Best for: Matching a campaign moodboard, recreating a visual feeling, or keeping a collection consistent.

Background

Use Background when you already have the exact scene you want to use.
Add a background reference image, then place your product into that environment.
Best for: Using a specific branded set, a selected location, or a campaign background that is already approved.

Product Swap

Use Product Swap when you have a mockup-style reference image.
Claid uses the reference as the base composition and swaps in your product.
Best for: Reusing a successful ad layout, testing multiple products in one scene, or adapting creative without rebuilding it.

How to write a good prompt 💬

A strong prompt gives Claid clear context without becoming a novel. Use this formula:
Place + surroundings + background + lighting + mood + shot type
Example:

A premium skincare serum on white travertine, surrounded by soft green leaves and a folded linen towel, warm morning sunlight from the left, clean spa mood, editorial product photography, shallow depth of field.

Try to include:

  • Place: marble table, bathroom shelf, studio plinth, beach sand
  • Surroundings: leaves, fruit, fabric, flowers, props
  • Background: soft beige wall, sunlit kitchen, blurred city window
  • Lighting: diffused daylight, dramatic side light, golden hour
  • Mood: minimal, playful, premium, calm, bold
  • Shot type: editorial close-up, product hero, overhead flat lay

Best use cases 🚀

AI Photoshoot is especially useful for:

  • Ecommerce hero images
  • Product launch campaigns
  • Lifestyle product photography
  • Marketplace visual upgrades
  • Seasonal content without a new shoot
  • Paid-social ad variations
  • Testing several creative directions before production
  • Turning one clean product cutout into multiple channel-ready visuals

Quick tips

  • Start with a sharp product image and a clear product outline.
  • Use Precise when placement and consistency matter.
  • Use Creative when you want more surprise and stronger scene exploration.
  • Keep prompts focused on one visual direction at a time.
  • Generate multiple variations when selecting an ad or hero image—the first output is not always the main character. ✨
