When to use the 'Decompress' feature?

The Decompress function is a perfect match whenever you need to remove distortions and artifacts caused by image compression.

Combined with the Quality Enhancement operations, it's the ideal way to prepare an image for further upscaling

Which decompression mode to use?

Auto mode - is a relevant fit whenever you are not sure what decompression effort to apply. When you set the decompress object to Auto mode, Claid will estimate how badly compressed the image is and apply the most appropriate decompression mode to clean up JPEG artifacts in the given image.

Moderate mode - removes JPEG artifacts and is applicable to average compression levels of your input image.

Strong mode - removes JPEG artifacts more aggressively than Moderate, best suited for small, low-quality images.
