AI Photoshoot: how to generate professional product photos
The AI Photoshoot feature helps you create high-quality, professional product images directly in Claid Studio - no photo studio or complex setup required.
With this tool, you can style your product in different settings using the following modes: Precise, Creative, Inspiration, Background, and Mockup.
Precise Mode
In Precise Mode, you stay in full control of how your product is displayed.
Fixed placement:
Your product remains exactly where you place it on the canvas.
Note: Avoid placing the product too close to the edge of the canvas.
Best For:
- Maintaining consistent framing across a gallery or catalog
- Marketplace-ready product shots (Amazon, Etsy, Shopify)
- Strict branding and layout requirements
💡 Tip: Use Precise Mode when uniformity matters across multiple SKUs.
Creative Mode
Creative Mode allows the AI to take the lead in positioning and sizing your product.
Automatic placement:
AI chooses the most visually appealing position and scale.
Flexible input:
- Add a prompt describing the setting, environment, or mood
Example: “Warm sunset light on a beach table”
- OR upload an inspiration image - the AI will use it as a visual style cue.
Best For:
- Quick ideas and variations
- Lifestyle imagery for ads + social media
- Experimenting with creative backgrounds and vibes
💡 Tip: Mention background, lighting, and mood for more accurate results.
Inspiration Mode
In Inspiration Mode, you upload a photo to use as a visual reference.
Tips:
- Use a real photo of the same product, at a similar angle.
- Avoid cluttered backgrounds.
- Make sure the product is well-lit and fully visible.
Best For:
- Refreshing existing product visuals
- Ensuring consistency across multiple campaigns
- Fast content creation
💡 This mode mixes realism from your reference with AI flexibility.
Background Mode
Background Mode lets you upload an image to be used as the background of your final photo.
Your product is placed on top of this background, and the AI blends lighting, shadows, and depth to make the scene look natural — without changing or redesigning the background itself.
Best For:
- When you already have the perfect location image
(e.g., a store interior, beach shot, studio wall)
- Brand-approved background assets
- Campaigns requiring strict visual consistency
(e.g., seasonal backgrounds, branded textures)
💡 Tip: Choose a background image with clear lighting direction - the AI will match it.
Mockup Mode
Mockup Mode lets you upload an image that should be treated as a mockup template.
This is ideal when you already have a layout or frame and want your product to fit naturally inside it (like replacing a bottle, inserting packaging, or placing an object into a specific placeholder).
Perfect for:
- Pre-made lifestyle scenes with placeholder objects
- Packaging, device, or label mockups
- Marketing teams working with brand templates
- Consistent campaign visuals with different products
Important notes:
- Choose mockups with a clear object or placeholder to replace
- Avoid mockups with heavy reflections or distorted angles unless intentional
- For best results, use product photos that match the perspective of the template
💡 Mockup Mode is ideal when your layout is fixed and only the product should change.
